The revelation
The revelation is to be seen and not to be explained. God sent to Daniel the prophet
a special vision and God sent Gabriel the angel to explain to him the vision. And
Daniel said, after the angel explained to him the vision: “And I Daniel fainted, and
was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business; and I was
astonished at the vision, but none understood it.” (Daniel 8:27). So, if Daniel, a
prophet, to whom God sent the angel to explain the vision and yet he did not
understand. Then, how can we explain the book of revelation? Another example: the
woman sitting on many waters (Rev 17:1) the book of Revelation says that she is a
city (Rev 17:18). Then, is there a relation between  the woman and the city!!! The
many waters is peoples, nations, tribes and tongues (Rev 17:15). How can we relate
these things? Can we explain as the angel explained to John?! Hence, the Revelation
is to be seen and not explained.

The Purpose of Revelation

“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep
those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” (Rev 1:3) this is the
only book in the Bible that gives a blessing to the reader and the listener.

“ For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword,
piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”  (Heb 4:12)

the tabernacle = a type and a shadow of the heavenly (Heb 8:5)
outside the tabernacle = the earth

the book of Revelation can be divided to 5 visions, 1 vision on the earth and 4 visions
in heaven.
1- the first vision on the earth: “I looked behind me and I saw…” Rev 1:12
“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a
trumpet,... And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw
seven golden candlesticks.” Rev1:10,12
there are 4 visions in heaven for every new opening in heaven is a new vision in
heaven:
2- The first vision: Rev 4:1 A small door was opened (a door and not a gate).
3- The second vision: Rev 11:19 on the altar of burnt offering the temple of God was
opened in heaven.
4- The third vision: Rev 15:5 in the holy the tabernacle of testament opened in
heaven.
5- The fourth vision: Rev 19:11 in the holy of holies the whole heaven opened and I
saw.
It is noticed that the four visions in heaven are related to the tabernacle of meeting
which God told Moses: “Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things,
as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for,
See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in
the mount.” (Heb 8:5) which serves the type of the heavenly and its shadow. But the
heavenly things and its true nature is explained by the words of the Lord: “destroy
this temple” – and He was pointing to the temple of Jerusalem – and I will raise it in
three days, and referring to His….” John 2:19,21. Hence, there is a temple that has
been built and the temple of His body. The temple is the body of Christ. Then, all
that the book of revelation speaks of is about the temple of the body of Jesus to Him
be glory.
